I co-founded Maritime Athletic PROfiles to help athletes promote themselves effectively. I was working at a private school with high level athletes and all of them needed more exposure because they had a huge amount of talent. There was a void where high level athletes did everything on their end to be the best they could be but they weren’t getting that break they needed to get them where they wanted to be. With all that experience, I have an extremely good understanding of how effective this is for all athletes. Our experience allows us to help our athletes find out what is the best way to promote themselves. We save you time and money. Our athletes look better, & coaches/prospective schools get a real understanding of who that athlete is and contact them easily. My goal is to to help young athletes get to that next level in their sport and that they make informed decisions on their path.

Ryan Oxner

Marketing Coordinator & Co-FOUNDER

I co-founded Maritime Athletic PROfiles to help athletes promote themselves effectively. My professional background is in marketing and enrolment services for post-secondary so I understand the importance of showcasing a students achievements and personality to find the best fit. Ultimately, I want every athlete we work with to excel in their academic career and we play a very small piece in that journey by advising young athletes to look at the bigger picture when it comes to planning for their future. How we promote our athletes is very important to us and while we have lots of fun, we take this responsibility very seriously.

Jessie Ross

Sales Representative & Videographer

I grew up in a sport-orientated household so I naturally have a special interest in the advancement of girls/women in sport, but love seeing all youth find success in their athletic endeavours.

I bring to the Maritime team over a decade of communications and public relations experience earned across the public and private sectors. Working in multiple collaborative communications and marketing roles, including with small businesses, I have a background in building strategic personal brands. How do you want to present yourself to potential coaches and recruiters? Jonathan Briggins

Head videographer & Copywriter

In 2016, after studying journalism at the University of King’s College in Halifax, N.S, Jonathan Briggins joined the Maritime team. Jonathan has worked with major news agencies including Sportsnet and TSN, bringing a breadth of knowledge of the televised sports world. 

Now entering his fourth year with Maritime, his keen eye has been integral to capturing some of our best plays, captured many of our favourite interviews and excels at creating isolation videos.

Alexander Taylor

Head Photographer & Editor

In 2017, after studying photography and videography at NSCC in Halifax, N.S, Alexander, Alex, joined the Maritime team. Alex has worked with many small and large businesses providing videography and photography shoots. 

Now entering his third year with Maritime, his keen eye has been integral to capturing some of our best plays and moments and excels at creating videos for individuals and companies.

Alex also provides editing services for our athletes, leveraging the most epic clips for our social media channels.

Cain Blake

In 2019, after studying film in Vancouver, Cain moved back to Halifax, N.S. Cain has a passion for videography especially in sports. 

Now entering his second year with Maritime, his energy and creativity has been integral to capturing some of our best plays and photos.
